APPLICATION FIELD
This type of backflow preventer valve is designed to prevent water from flowing back into a piped system leading to a basin, tank, or sea without the need for energy or maintenance. Their absolute silence and minimal pressure drop have made this type of valve increasingly popular and widely used in both industry and public and private projects. The valves discharge with minimal hydraulic pressure and also prevent the rising of gases. They are an excellent deterrent against animals entering the pipes.
The WS valve is made of two pieces: an external containment shell made of stainless steel (or PVC or PE) containing a rubber diaphragm that blocks any possible backflow. The diaphragm opens when pushed by the upstream water, and once this push ceases, the valve remains normally closed; the greater the push from downstream, the more the valve adheres to the walls to prevent backflow. WS series valves can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. The valve is highly adaptable and can be mounted on almost any pipe. The WS valve is available in sizes from DN 75mm to DN 1800mm.
