Flow regulators and limiters
Intelligent management of water volumes is the fundamental pillar for ensuring the longevity of infrastructure and the optimization of resources.
Whether complex pressure transport systems or gravity networks , precise flow control is not only a technical necessity, but a guarantee of operational safety.
EURONOVA flow regulators and limiters are designed to meet the most rigorous water maintenance challenges. They allow you to:
- stabilize the supply, maintaining constant flows regardless of load variations;
- prevent mechanical stress, protecting the pipes from overpressure and water hammer;
- optimize distribution, ensuring that each node in the network receives the exact amount of fluid it needs, reducing waste and energy costs.
EURONOVA offers Vortex flow limiting valve, RPG flow control valve, RDF – RDT flow control valves and stainless steel float flow regulators.
Types of flow regulators and limiters
Vortex Flow Limiting Valve
EURONOVA offers Vortex-type flow limiting valves in AISI 304 stainless steel for the management of water networks.
The outflow rate is managed by exploiting the vortex effect based on the maximum height of the upstream water.
The passage cross-section is three times larger than that of a traditional nozzle hole, reducing the risk of clogging; the absence of moving parts requires minimal maintenance.
Vortex flow limiting valves allow the management of flow rates from 0.5 to 16,7 l/sec and water levels between 0.5 and 3 metres by means of water heads.
RPG flow control valve
EURONOVA RPG flow control valves are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and are ideal for installation downstream of weirs, retention basins, and other hydraulic structures.
The valves are designed to manage single or separate water networks: the valve closes progressively as the water level increases, so as to maintain a constant flow rate downstream.
RPG flow regulators can handle flow rates ranging from 2 to 800 l/sec and water levels between 0.10 and 2.23 metres.
RDF – RDT Float Flow Control Valves
The RDF and RDT flow control valves are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and HDPE and represent the ideal solution for regulating rainwater.
The regulator operates using a movable guillotine mechanism connected to a front or side arm with a float. The device is fixed to the outlet of a concrete wall and automatically adjusts the flow rate as the water level changes.
For optimal operation, we recommend installing the valve on a perfectly smooth and vertical wall.
RDF – RDT control valves can handle flow rates ranging from a minimum of 4-9 l/s (RDF 1010 model) up to a maximum of 276-360 l/s (RDT 5015-5030 model). Our models are tested for heads ranging from 1,0 to 3,0 meters.
Stainless steel float flow control valves
Designed to maintain a constant water output, the INOX flow regulator uses a mechanical system that detects variations in the water level in the basin: when the water level upstream rises or falls, the float moves accordingly, activating the blade.
In the AISI 304 or AISI 316 variants, stainless steel protects the regulator's mechanical components from the effects of water and chemicals, ensuring the integrity of the control mechanism; this material offers significant advantages in terms of robustness, reliability, and longer life.
Stainless steel float flow regulators find wide use in industrial contexts , particularly in drainage systems in accumulation basins, in water treatment and purification plants and in filtration systems.
Flow rates vary based on the nominal diameter (DN) of the selected regulator; the maximum water height depends on the maximum head specified in the order. EURONOVA offers customized solutions based on the customer's needs.
