Features, installation and benefits
Our backflow valves operate without external power support and require no periodic maintenance.
Completely silent during operation, they feature minimal pressure drops and are capable of blocking both liquids and rising gases; they are also an excellent deterrent against animals entering the pipes.
They can work in critical conditions, such as in the presence of debris, mud or sand, and are ideal for underwater discharges or on shorelines exposed to storm surges.
Installation mode
EURONOVA backflow preventer valves stand out for their high assembly versatility which allows for various applications: in-line, end-of-line, wall-mounted or flange-mounted.
Many models in the membrane series can be installed either in the horizontal and vertical.
Types of backflow and control valves
EURONOVA offers the following types of backflow preventer valves:
Diaphragm Non-Return Valves
- WS / WS-G series: They are made up of an external shell in stainless steel, PVC or HDPE which encloses a flexible rubber conical membrane. These valves operate passively: upstream water pressure opens the diaphragm, while downstream pressure presses it against the walls, ensuring a seal. They can be installed in-line, inside existing pipes, or vertically;
- duckbill valves: The reinforced rubber body tapers into a duckbill section, allowing flow to flow in one direction only. Available with female coupling for the outside of the duct or in version flanged;
- NOSE series: A specific solution for insertion into pipelines (in a manhole or at the end of the line). The body is made of fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene and the membrane is EPDM. Application occurs through compression, as the rubber expands outside the valve.
Swing valves (with vertical or inclined flap)
- Polyethylene (PE) clapet: Available with circular, square, or rectangular cross-sections. They are designed for vertical wall or flange mounting and can have a vertical or inclined door leaf;
- polyamide clapper (EF / EF-N Series): end-of-line backflow valves with inclined or vertical door leafThe EF model is suitable for coupling to vertical walls or PN10 flanges, while the EF-N model is suitable for coupling to PVC or HDPE or for coupling to pipes of various materials via multi-diameter joints;
- polyester clapper (MULTI N / NB Series): end-of-line backflow valves with inclined doorMade of polyester reinforced with isophthalic gel-coat, suitable for coupling on pipes of various materials via multi-diameter joints, on the wall or on a PN10 flange;
- steel clapper: made of galvanized steel, AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel, with circular or rectangular cross-sections, upon request they can be equipped with counterweight systems for on-site adjustment;
- PVC or polyester clapet (In-line Series): Line backflow preventer valves with emergency shut-off and inspection cap, AISI 316 stainless steel hardware. Coupling on pipes of any material
Special backflow and regulation valves
- float valves: They allow you to block backflow phenomena by exploiting the thrust of the liquid on a mechanical float; the float rod can be adjusted or designed according to the customer's request;
- Wafer Slide Valves: manual valves with handwheel and rising stem, to be inserted between standard flanges, with cast iron or steel body.
- Pinch Valves: specific solutions for the management of corrosive, abrasive liquids or sludges.
